This is a silver replica of Pitney brooch from 11th century England. It took me quite a while to carve and i can imagine it was not easier 900 years ago when some master made the original. Apart from the masterful execution the brooch features design elements from both Anglo-Saxon and Urnes stile showing that the Norse influence did not stop with just viking raids.
The brooch is 3.9cm in diameter as the original and pin is made from steel.
Brass version is available in my Etsy store [link] but if someone would like to commission one from silver you have to write me a note.
