Its the oddest wood burl i have seen. Got it from Australia. The empty spaces in wood are filled with epoxy resin.

it came out very nice! another idea is smash some coloured stone, like turquoise. and pour the powdered stone with epoxi or superglue in wood gaps. try it. you will not regret. n__n

Im pretty much homeschooled but now i study sculpture in college of art. As for knife commissions the prices range 100 euros and up but at the moment i doubt i have time to take anything on until fall.

Jep - black backround makes everything stand out so well - only photographing is trickier than with more ordinary backrounds. Im really happy how this knife came out - so well i dont even want to sell it
